COMO LAKEHOUSE
By majestic shores
Italy - Como
Overlooking the majestic Lake Como, the Como Lakehouse is a residence of timeless charm, born from the respectful restoration of an early 20th-century house that once served as a boatman's refuge. Built in stone atop an old boathouse, it retains its original water access and stands as a virtuous example of dialogue between history and modernity.
While the exterior has been preserved, the interiors have been entirely reimagined in a contemporary key: natural materials, refined finishes, and harmonious tones engage with the spirit of the home. The kitchen, with its sculpted stone island and CEA satin Bronze tap, is simple yet striking. The pavilion roof, clad in charred wood, crowns an ethereal and delicate space.
The pursuit of simplicity and coherence is reflected in the choice of materials like stone, wood, and designer furnishings that integrate seamlessly with the client’s art collection. In the bathrooms, the CEA taps from the FLAG collection in Bronze satin finish harmonize with stone and wood cladding, along with custom-made Dolomia stone sinks and bathtubs.
Como Lakehouse is an example of how a restoration project can preserve the past while enhancing the needs of the present, creating a unique and meaningful living space.
