BARQUILLO

Harmony and refinement

Spain - Madrid

The renovation of the Barquillo penthouse, a 500-square-meter space in the heart of Madrid, bears the signature of Iker Ochotorena, founder of OOAA Arquitectura. The project successfully preserves and enhances the building's classic elements, with a particular focus on visual clarity.

Herringbone oak wood floors, paired with lime plaster on the walls and ceilings, introduce both craftsmanship and warmth to each room. In the kitchen, CEA taps from the INNOVO collection in a satin finish seamlessly integrate into the space, further emphasizing the aesthetic sobriety that defines the entire project. The wooden elements in the furnishings and flooring create an elegant contrast with the central island, resulting in a dynamic interplay of shades that enriches the space and defines its character.

The carefully selected furniture enhances the minimalist architecture, featuring clean lines and complementing the colour palette of each room. The outcome is an environment that exudes a deep sense of serenity and tranquillity.
