CHEN RESORT
A refuge of elegant materials and warm tones
Taiwan - Taipei City
In Taipei's Beitou district, well-known for its onsens, hot springs, and lush landscapes, lies Chen Resort, a holiday residence designed to embody the region's traditions and atmosphere.
To create a seamless connection between the interior and exterior, a concept akin to the Japanese engawa was implemented, allowing spaces to extend and blend with their surroundings. The interiors are defined by Hinoki wood, earthy brown and green colours, and furnishings featuring warm tones and soft shapes. A round dining table made of Verde Alpi, along with a rust-coloured domed chandelier adorned with gold leaf, echoes the hues of the kitchen. The overall atmosphere conveys a sense of calmness and subtle luxury.
The bathroom areas capture the essence of the residence. The toilet and bathing areas are separated intentionally, allowing the thermal bath—the main focus of this space—to offer views of the surrounding nature. This room balances warm wood tones with dark stone, enhancing the connection to its natural context. CEADESIGN taps and towel warmers from the MILO360, REGOLO and EQUILIBRIO collections, in a refined satin finish, add an elegant touch to the furnishings.
